WMGS 60th Anniversary Seminar

Saturday, October 11th, 2014

The WMGS 60th Anniversary Seminar is underway with Dick Eastman as our featured speaker. Dick was last with us in 2004 when we celebrated 50 years, so it’s fitting that he’s back 10 years later as we turn 60.

Started out with a visit to Frederick Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park for lunch and a look at a giant horse.

Friday evening was our 60th anniversary banquet. Lisa Christensen handled the flower decorations for the banquet table centrepieces and created the DNA strands out of beads to accompany Dick’s after dinner talk “Putting the Genes in Genealogy”.

Below are some pictures of the goings on so far on Friday and Saturday.
